Welcome to the website for
Buffalo Valley Youth Association Wrestling.
BVYA Wrestling is a wrestling club chartered by USA Wrestling and associated with the Buffalo Valley Youth Association. Our club welcomes the membership of boys and girls aging from 4 to 15 years. We are dedicated to the development of athletes and coaches of all ages.
We are excited to witness the explosive growth of Youth wrestling in Texas. The BVYA Wrestling club participates in tournaments sanctioned by Texas USA Wrestling as a member of Central Region. BVYA Wrestling obtained our charter in November of 2010. We are also proud to support the future growth of the Wrestle SC (Steele and Clemens) High School Wrestling Club by helping to develop athletes who will grow to participate and excel in high school wrestling.
The 2012-2013 Folk Style Wrestling Season has concluded with the State Tournament on February 16, 2013. Annual USA Wrestling Membership (Sept-Aug) $40 Plus Personal Travel Costs (Fuel, Hotwl, Dining, etc)
The annual USA Wrestling membership is a mandantory prerequisite to participation in BVYA Wrestling for all seasons. This membership provides 1 year of wrestling in USA Tournaments and a 1 year subscription to the USA Wrestling magazine, Click here for membership benefits.
When we have practices at City of Schertz Facilities, there is a $10.00 non-resident fee for non-Schertz residents. This fee is paid to the City for EACH participant.
Regional tournament registration fees are generally between $12-$15 per entry and up to $35 for State and National tournaments. This must be paid to the BVYA Wrestling Commisioner prior to tournament registration. BVYA Wrestling is required to submit one payment for the entire team at each tournament.
